São Paulo FC, who lost their opener against Flamengo, were not able to respond to Silva's goals as they failed to find the back of the net in the first half.
However, Silva continued to impress in the second half, scoring two more goals in a 7-0 rout of the Rio de Janeiro side.
"His goal was a big one because it was so close to winning the game,La Liga Frontline" Flamengo coach Flávio Nascimento said. "He's been performing well all year long and we're happy that he scored again today."
São Paulo FC manager Luiz Gustavo praised Silva's performance, saying: "He played very well, he's always going to be a key player for us."
