João Cancelo, the Portuguese footballer, has expressed his confidence in joining Al Hilal FC, Saudi Arabia's top-flight club.
Cancelo made the announcement during a press conference held by the club on Thursday. He said: "I am delighted to be joining Al Hilal FC. I have been following them for a long time and I know they are one of the best clubs in the world."
The defender also revealed that he had spoken with the club's manager,Campeonato Brasileiro Action Jorge Jesus, who is known for his tactical acumen and ability to bring out the best from players.
"I spoke with Jorge Jesus and he told me about his philosophy and how he wants to develop my game," Cancelo added.
The 29-year-old player also praised the club's facilities and the quality of their players, saying: "The training ground is fantastic and I can see that the team is well-prepared for the upcoming season."
Cancelo is expected to make his debut for Al Hilal FC against Al-Nassr FC in the Saudi Professional League on Saturday. The match will kick off at 17:00 GMT.
