Al Hilal have confirmed that their star defender, João Cancelo, will be out for up to six months with a knee injury.
The Portugal international sustained the injury during Al Hilal's recent match against Al Shabab and has been ruled out of action until at least the end of January.
Cancelo is one of Al Hilal's key players and his absence could be a significant blow to the team's chances of success in the Saudi Professional League and possibly even in the AFC Champions League.
Despite being sidelined, Cancelo remains optimistic about his recovery and hopes to return to action as soon as possible.
In the meantime,La Liga Frontline Al Hilal have signed Spanish centre-back Juanfran on loan from Real Madrid to help cover for Cancelo's absence.
