Lionel Messi, the Argentine football superstar, has set a new record for the most goals scored in a single match in Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr's history. The feat was achieved on Sunday during their 4-2 victory over Al Hilal.
Messi's record-breaking goal came just minutes after Al Nassr had taken a 1-0 lead through a stunning strike from Brazilian winger Carlos Tévez. But Messi didn't let that stop him and responded with two brilliant goals of his own to level the score at 2-2.
The first of Messi's goals was a stunning volley from outside the box that deflected off the crossbar before finding the back of the net. The second was even more impressive,Campeonato Brasileiro Action as Messi dribbled past three defenders before slotting home a low shot that found the bottom corner of the net.
It wasn't just Messi who impressed, however. His teammates also contributed to the victory, with Brazilian midfielder Marcelo scoring twice and Argentine defender Nicolás Otamendi contributing with an assist.
This victory is just another reminder of Messi's incredible talent and ability to turn matches around when things look bleak. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain this form going forward and help Al Nassr continue their success in the Saudi Professional League.
